Sleep is a precious commodity for any parent, and it’s no secret that when your child is sleeping soundly, the more z’s you’re likely to catch yourself.
As this is such an important event for any parent, we wanted to share with you our tips on finding the perfect bed:
- Style: think about what kind of bed you want before you start your search. does it need to fit in with the rest of the house, or are you looking for something unique to stand out in an individually designed room? it’s important when considering the style, to decide whether you want a classic piece that will stand the test of time into their teenage years, or whether you’d prefer a more ‘kiddie’ bed.
- Quality: look at the materials your chosen bed is made from. does it rattle when you shake it? does it scratch easily? price isn’t always a mark of quality so do your research and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Price: let’s face it, price is a major consideration. decide on your budget before you begin. if you fall in love with a bed and then discover it’s way over your budget, you’re bound to be disappointed. only look at beds in your price range and you’ll narrow your search considerably. keep in mind that spending money now on a quality piece will probably save you money in the long run.
It goes without saying that your child should be proud of their bedroom and with any luck, want to spend a lot of time there.
